Pachypodium lamieri is a succulent shrub. This plant is not a plam, though somewhat palmlike in appearance. Easy to grow. Spiny, succulent, unbranched trunk 2-4 ft.high is topped with a circle of strap-shaped leaves to 1 ft. long and 1-4 in. wide. Saucer-shaped white flowers to 4 in. wide are seldom seen; they usually appear only on large, old plants.
Planting Instructions: 1. Dig a hole 2 times the width and 1 and 1/2 times the height of the container. 2. Set rootball at ground level. 3. Prepare soil mix of equal parts soil and soil amendment. 4. Backfill with amended soil. 5. Build Basin and water.
