The ficifolia variety is a rounded evergreen tree growing to a size 30-40' tall and wide. It bears a dense canopy of dark canopy of dark green, lance-shaped leaves and wide, flat clusters of flowers ranging from dark red to orange, salmon and occasionally white. It blooms in summer, and is one of the showiest trees when well sited. -Monterey Bay Nursery
Planting Instructions: 1. Dig a hole 2 times the width and 1 and 1/2 times the height of the container. 2. Set rootball at ground level. 3. Prepare soil mix of equal parts soil and soil amendment. 4. Backfill with amended soil. 5. Build Basin and water.
